Video camcorder / webcam

I want to get a webcam that I can detach and take video around our
house of our new baby, but that's dockable as a webcam. What's the
best (and cheapest) camera for that functionality? It'd be nice if it
has some kind of small LCD on the back, so you can tell what you're
video-taping....

Any help would be very appreciated!

This does not quite answer your question, but with DVdriver software
($20),
you can use a camcorder as a webcam. If you already have a camcorder,
then you're done ....
